He has been through a lot: left on the highway for dead, he was found and taken to our vet. instead of euthanizing him, the vet was so charmed by his behavior (even in terrible pain) that he called to see if we would take him. He has an adorable personality, loves all people, gets along with all dogs, and wants only a lap and love (okay, maybe some of your sandwich). He lost an eye, all of his teeth, looks more like a baby alpaca than a pom (he gots him SOME legs!). We had to cut his very matted coat down, but he will grow a very heavy coat that will cover the road "rash" and scars from his accident. He is probably around 9 or 10 and weighs four pounds...he is definitely potty pad trained. He walks and runs just fine...his "special need" is a truly loving home. He would be an especially wonderful companion for a disabled or older person. The adoption donation for this dog is $100. This will include all vaccinations, worming, and spay/neuter, full dental and rabies vaccination. We strive to help you find the best dog for you, but some of our little dogs have had a very hard life....living in small cages with no socialization or exercise much of the time. Some have been treated well, some have not. if you do not have the time or patience for one of our dogs, we understand, but you will miss the reward of total devotion that these rescues are known to give the people who will give them a chance to trust, love and be loved as a pet. Small children do not usually mix well with small dogs....but if you are in control of your kids and they have been taught respect and empathy for animals, please feel free to call us.
